De Antiquis et Novis – Alchemy (2022)

He is now taking a different turn with his single ‘Alchemy’, which detours from ambient chill to a moving dance vibe. Packed with the energy of the dancefloor, this single inundates you with electronic dance tones that slowly edge their way into House and EDM.
Sure to get you moving to the beat, this single draws on the influence of summer dance tracks while adding a little something that is unique to this musical project. The first in a number of dance tracks that Matthias Schorer, the man behind the music, is going to release over the next few months. While different to the last track that had us riding some ambient vibes, this track highlights a new side to his music while adding a little variety to life.
‘Alchemy’ builds the dance vibes from the depths of the soundscape through the opening. There is a rising feeling to the beats that vibrate their way up your legs to fill you with the vibes of the music. This energy continues to spread through the rest of your body as the thump of the beats continues to lead you further into the music. There is a heavy touch of EDM and techno to the soundscape, making it wonderfully different to the chilled vibes of his previous release. The moving touch of the beats doesn’t let up for a second and only becomes more powerful as the single progresses. Through the first half of the single, the upper levels of the melody are packed with shining lights that sweep over you like you are in a club. Woven into the moving vibes is a pulse of sound that reverberates through you like a soundwave.
Around the halfway mark, the music starts to pick up with an electronic pop dance movement that lifts your spirits while still getting you to dance. Almost futuristic beeps make their way into the soundscape, bringing a new texture to the track. From this point, the music has a really jubilant feeling like you are riding a high that can’t be replicated off the dancefloor. Techno and house touches make their way through the sound, merging with the smoother pop tones to form a kaleidoscope of sound. It is really addictive and will definitely make you want to dance before almost vibrating out of your skin.
