CINDERINA – Pace (2023)

Passionate about the performing arts, CINDERINA is a UK-based pop artist who went from singing songs as a child to being a part of the Kentish Opera Company (which made her consider a career in classical music at one point) and eventually found herself performing at open mic nights. When she wasn’t singing, she was acting, modelling or even pole dancing. We’re pleased she chose to pursue music otherwise she would not have made it to our ears.

In an interview with Volatile Weekly, singer-songwriter CINDERINA shared “CINDERINA bloomed out of Lucinda. Lucinda is the cocoon phase of my performing, musical, expressive self…”. While CINDERINA technically formed at the end of 2020, it was only a year later that she released her debut track ‘Don’t Waste My Time’. Gigs across London began a loyal CINDERINA fanbase and with her online coverage, she is certainly turning heads beyond those gigs. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Pace’.

Just over one year after releasing her single ‘Don’t Waste My Time’, CINDERINA hits the airwaves once again with sophomore track ‘Pace’. Recorded at Octagon Studios with producer Pink Boy and Matty Harris (mixing and mastering), ‘Pace’ is toe-tapping and soul-stirring with a harsh but also soothing electropop flavour. Synth-driven with strong beats pounding in the melody, ‘Pace’ has you stomping along to its pumping rhythm. Yet, while it can easily be placed in the pop genre, a slice of rock-inspired guitar slices through bringing a bit of a kick to the track.

Lying somewhere between Jessie J and Dua Lipa but with the obscurity of Lady Gaga, CINDERINA has a style that stands out amidst the rest. She might be a newbie in the pop music scene, but she is by no means a shrinking violet. Motivated, uplifting and optimistic, ‘Pace’ overcomes self-doubt and negative thoughts with a high-powered blast of “move out of my way because I have too much awesomeness coming through”.
