With her bright blue eyes, luscious locks, and infectious grin, singer-songwriter Cali Tucker can win your heart with a smile alone; however, there is far more than meets the eye. Hailing from a musical family, she has a passion for music coursing through her veins, but it is on her own steam that she steps into the spotlight. An established artist across the USA, her blending of country and pop sounds offer a Shania Twain-esque sensation as she “embodies the essence of country music with a modern twist…” Representing the best of Nashville and Las Vegas, Cali Tucker is deemed “Miss NashVegas”, and she showcases her style in her new single, ‘Urban Cowboy’.
Following her well-received track ‘Country Couture’, Tucker rounds off 2024 with ‘Urban Cowboy’. Produced with Grammy-nominated G’harah Degeddingseze and Tricia Battani, ‘Urban Cowboy’ retains the pop-inspired lilt to traditional country music. Yet, while 1990s Shania Twain oozes from Tucker’s melodies, a similarity to modern-day Miley Cyrus could be considered with the new single.
With shimmering synths and pulsating bold beats woven into the melody, ‘Urban Cowboy’ leans further toward pop threading vintage and contemporary styles. A strong leaning to kaleidoscopic synths exists, but a peek of acoustic guitar and banjo builds the cowboy boots edge. Add Tucker’s rich, warm, intriguing vocals and you have a soothing flood of mellifluous, smooth and toe-tapping music.
Melodically, ‘Urban Cowboy’ slips into your soul and grabs your breath; however, its fantastical delicacy is what enhances the charming theme. A tale of romance and love, “…the track reflects the contrast between “urban” and “cowboy”… the song portrays the resilience of love, capturing the enduring hope that everyone can find their urban cowboy and experience their own fairytale ending…”
Sincere, sentimental and fun, ‘Urban Cowboy’ is the theme song for a Disney film about that girl, that boy, and that fairytale future.
