Bronston – Temples & Mines (2020)

Back in 2015, Bronston was born when Adam (vocals, guitar) and James (bass) recruited Mark (drums) and Ryan (lead guitar, keys) for a new band. Since that moment, they have been melding their musical influences to form the unique sound of Bronston. Their debut EP was released in 2018 and they are bringing the latest chapter of their journey to life with ‘Temples & Mines’.

The track was written by frontman Adam during a time of little structure in his life. The song is about the struggle of managing your mental health and finding a way to keep on top of the challenges that life brings. This heavy topic is conveyed using addictive verses and upbeat melodies.

‘Temples & Mines’ comes out hard from the first moment to hook you. The melody is catchy and has an upbeat vibe to it while the guitars provide a harder edge. This edge matches the lyrics and theme of the track.

While the melody and music grab your attention, the lyrics and vocal performance blast the track to a different level. Adam’s vocals are emotive and the tone helps you connect with the song. The lyrics drive you through the highs and lows of mental health with enhancements from the often pain-filled vocals.

Bronston charts the struggles of managing mental health in the upbeat but pain-filled ‘Temples & Mines’. The track moves through upbeat sections only to hit you with darkness where things start to fall apart. This song highlights vulnerabilities that the band are able to showcase in relatable and catchy ways.
