Bradley Denniston – Haunted By You (2022)

A platinum-selling music producer, engineer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, US-based Bradley Denniston has a passion for the music industry. As a composer, he has worked on major motion picture releases, television shows, commercials, and award-winning albums under his company, Radium Media. His most recent project is the production and composition of original music for the Netflix Original Series Abstract: The Art of Design – so, he’s rather well-known as a producer, engineer and composer in the TV sector. We, however, are exploring his original work as a musician, so join us as we dip into his discography.

Described by blogs as “catchy and satisfying…” (Rising Artists Blog) and “a gifted and well-rounded musician” (Pop Passion Music Blog), Bradley Denniston can intoxicate listeners with his sophisticated musicality. His latest single ‘Haunted By You’ has a nostalgic flair throwing you back to the pop sounds of the 1980s; however, there is a modern-day pop element making his music fresh but familiar. Following the single ‘Red Lights’, ‘Haunted By You’ is an upbeat, high-paced, synth-driven sonic package.

Bright, cheery and jovial, ‘Haunted By You’ is bursting with kaleidoscopic happiness in its energetic melody. Yet, despite the bubbly tune, Denniston juxtaposes a melancholic theme with a smile-inducing, toe-tapping tune. He explains that ‘Haunted By You’ is “about the duality of missing someone you connected with…being haunted by that one experience you had together and them just really brushing you off.”

Bold, robust and full-bodied, ‘Haunted By You’ has a sincere sentimentality tinged with a naïve whimsy in a seemingly innocent tune. The thing is, while an immaturity exists in the melody, the arrangement is sophisticated, elegant and a musical masterpiece.
