Bianca Aristia – Good Vibes (2021)
Combining elements of pop, R&B and hip hop, singer-songwriter Bianca Aristia has a unique sound to keep you smiling. Telling tales of love, loss and insightful means of pursuing your dreams, Aristia is the voice of her contemporary audience. Influenced by the sounds of Rihanna, Jessie J and Beyonce, the German songstress sprinkles refreshing positivity into the lives of everyone she meets or who listens to her music. Featured on radio stations throughout Europe, Aristia is gaining a following on an international scale. The latest addition to her discography is ‘Good Vibes’.
A synth-driven track, ‘Good Vibes’ has a jovial and upbeat sound, however, it is in this joviality that one finds a languid sensuality. No, I’m not talking about sexiness – although Aristia’s vocals certainly hold a soulful allure. No, what I’m referring to is the unadulterated vibrancy found in the soothing song.
Interesting melodic arrangements toss the listener into a kaleidoscopic swirl of sound. Oddly enough, while you can find yourself in a melting pot of music, ‘Good Vibes’ has a hazy ambience to keep you up in the air but with a chaotic good-natured melody pumping through your ears. What I find most intriguing are Aristia’s dulcet vocals. Touching on elements of dreams, drive and ambition to “live in the present”, ‘Good Vibes’ has an optimistic quality with lingering tenderness.
In addition to the single, Bianca Aristia released an official music video for ‘Good Vibes’. Adding a visual representation to her positive song, the video is “filled with good vibes” from the gorgeous setting to her dancing on a beach. Filmed in Tenerife, the setting is sunny and vibrant, however, the tender warmth is noted in the melding of imagery with an upbeat tone. Moreover, focusing on Aristia as an individual entity enhances the sense that “you can make your dreams come true just by chasing them”. The best part: no strobe effects so it’s safe to watch if you have photosensitive epilepsy!
