Anthony Casuccio – Life Goes On (2024)
To say Anthony Casuccio is well-known in the music industry is an understatement. Yes, he’s an established figure but his reputation precedes him. Having worked with various iconic artists, being nominated for Grammy awards, placement in various television shows, and topping Billboard charts as a singer-songwriter and producer places him as an iconic artist himself. With over three decades in the music world, his passionate appreciation and adoration of music astounds onlookers earning a loyal following across the globe. Today, we look at the latest addition to his discography, ‘Life Goes On’.
Following his well-received single ‘Into The Light’, the US-based musician takes another step into 2024 with ‘Life Goes On’. Composed, penned and self-produced, Casuccio slows down shifting from high-voltage electronic pop to a smooth blend of pop-rock and classic rock. As if walking through a sonic forest, Casuccio creates a clear but dusty path through the trees making the journey easy. A combination of pounding drums and soaring guitars meet you like butterflies flitting from one flower to the other, while a flutter of electronic synths gives off a homely shine. Interestingly, while the harmonic melody is mellifluous with a charming gentleness, ‘Life Goes On’ is rather vulnerable.
The melody itself is hopeful and laidback but the theme itself is what prompts a fragile melancholy. Elegantly laid as a haunting whisper adding a light veil to the sonic path, Casuccio’s vocals ooze raw emotion layering intimate vulnerability with confident resilience. Casuccio explains:
“I’m so happy to share my latest musical creation. After my mom passed, I was having difficulties accepting it. With so many things going on in life, I didn’t have time to reflect and process it. One night after watching a really bad movie, my emotions let loose. I finally was able to grieve. During that moment, I sat down and wrote this song. It’s dedicated to my parents… No matter how dark or crazy things get, remember, life goes on.”
