Anindya Mukherjee – All I Need (2020)

Anindya Mukherjee is celebrating that special person in your life through the blended rock soundscape of ‘All I Need’. With an upbeat tempo and swinging arrangement, he fills you with adoration for those you love while paying tribute to them. Bringing sounds of the 70s and 80s to life, he moulds them around modern instrumentation.

While only the second single he has released, the constant shifting of the melody shows a strong connection with his music. His musical interest was first awakened when he was 12 and he soon learnt to play the piano and guitar. His love of music turned to playing covers before he was able to convert the tunes in his head into great sounding projects.

The piano line that opens ‘All I Need’ has a touch of Elton John resting in it that draws you in. This turns into a fun rock bounce that you have to move your shoulders to. The guitars that thrum to the piano add a great beat to the track that just pulls it to a higher level. Just as you are getting used to the flow of the melody, the shuffling roll of the drums diverts you to a new feeling as the guitars soar in the background. This turns again when the horns lightly pop up for a funky punch. There is a lot going on in the melody as it moves through different flows but this is all done to perfection. The different elements come together exquisitely making you feel like there was no other way it could have happened.

As you are spinning round to the melody, Mukherjee’s vocals are a ray of light breaking across the music. His performance has a brightness as the lyrics set the scene. Through his vocals, you are introduced to the special someone before the chorus pays tribute to them. There is such warmth and happiness in the performance that you can’t help but smile as you listen. His voice combines with the vocal harmonies to add a great push to the music.

Anindya Mukherjee fills you with brightness as he celebrates that special someone in your life and captures the emotions they bring in ‘All I Need’. The happiness and light soaked into the vocals put a smile on your face while the melody hits you with a funky punch. The layers of the music are outstanding as they combine for a single that you will want to have on repeat.
