Andrea Delgado – Save Me (2022)

Quite a few times, artists with a health issue are able to turn that personal disadvantage into some excellent music being able to channel into it all their talents and creativity. Costa Rican singer-songwriter Andrea Delgado is a survivor of domestic violence and loss and suffers from PTSD. Now for some people that could be a serious obstacle to functioning normally, let alone creating and producing music. Yet, Delgado came up to release ‘Save Me’, her debut single, not only by surviving mental and physical challenges but also by working double shifts and overtime to provide for her family.

Delgado actually started her musical journey at a young age singing in public for the first time when she was seven years old. It was with her savings that she launched her musical career, rock music being her strongest love. She had to make a break in her career due to all the problems she faced and is now officially on her way with this single. So it is no wonder that the song itself speaks about all that she was faced with through an excellent melody and arrangement using a recurring violin and strong guitar riffs with Delgado’s impressive vocals.

The success of the song lies in all the strong emotions involved as Delgado shares her personal experience. Yet, Delgado conveys all that experience as an empowering process for all potential listeners who have experienced the same or similar problems in life. She shows them that there is a way out, no matter what. It not only pays them tribute but gives them the inspiration and will to move on.

Delgado’s way was through her personal strength and music, showing not only a serious talent but also serious promise for her upcoming projects. With her strength, she is bound to make it.
