Alchemize – Red Lights (2025)

With a strong start to the new year, Alchemize is building on the momentum it built throughout 2024 and shows no signs of slowing down. Following up ‘In Two Minds’ was going to be a tough task, but once again they’ve not missed the mark at all with their new single ‘Red Lights’.

Continuing to be an act that cannot be pigeonholed, their ever-evolving sound is what keeps them interesting. The adoption of such clean vocals has given all 3 singers a chance to merge their styles to produce something special with ‘Red Lights’, opting for a more polished approach while still keeping it heavy and making sure that the metal element is evident throughout the track. Just like Dallas Green brought harmony to Alexisonfire whilst not taking anything away from their ferocity, Alchemize has shown they have the talent to produce some genre-defining music.

One thing the Manchester five-piece always delivers is that no matter what direction they go in they still hold true to their RnB/Metal fusion sound. They seem to have a knack for pulling all the best bits from many genres and weaving them into their own unique style. Just like ‘In Two Minds’ felt like a metalcore song it still had something which set it apart, as does ‘Red Lights’ by utilising a more polished approach but still being undeniably Alchemize.

‘Red Lights’ is already getting the plaudits it deserves, having been BBC Introducing Rock’s track of the week, appearing on Kerrang Radio’s Fresh Blood and Amazon Music’s Fresh Metal playlist. This is a band I am genuinely excited to see what they’re going to do next since for me they’ve not missed the mark yet, which I hope continues because I think this really is just the beginning for them. I truly believe Alchemize is going to be a driving force of British metal for years to come.

In addition to the single, Alchemize released an official music video for ‘Red Lights’. You can view the video below and on their YouTube channel.
