OSR: What can you tell us about your upcoming single ‘U-Turn’?
Simpson: It’s a song about cars.
OSR: Can you tell us about the video for ‘U-Turn’?
Simpson: It was like most other times, except this time I made the song.
OSR: Can you tell us about the video for ‘U-Turn‘?
Simpson: I’d never seen it done before and I thought “how has no-one done this?”
OSR: If you could change one thing about the music video what would it be?
Simpson: I’d have Owen Wilson star.
OSR: What about the single? If you could change one thing about that what would it be?
Simpson: I’d have Owen Wilson sing the song, and I’d have Owen Wilson do the beat too.
OSR: How would you describe your music to a new listener?
Simpson: I would describe it as vocal + instrument sounds combined to express emotion?
OSR: What inspires you?
Simpson: You do. You’re my muse.
OSR: Do you have any phobias?
Simpson: Mint chocolate chip ice cream. It’s terrifying. Don’t send me any.
OSR: Do you have future plans?
Simpson: Music’s done after this for me. My one and only future plan is to start a campaign called No Skins For Skeletons. Let’s say we let skeletons have skin, what’s next? They take our jobs? No way, they already had their time with skin. Plus, they’re gonna look weird. I’m not gonna let my kids grow up in that world.
OSR: Do you have a message for our readers?
Simpson: Today I saw a lizard at the beach. When you step outside of your comfort zone, anything is possible.
