Track of the Day: Vaccine7 – Rubber Face (Each Time I Lose)

Vaccine7 (yes, no space between the Vaccine and 7) are an alternative rock group hailing from the West Midlands, UK. Founded in 2019, the female-fronted band have a sound somewhere between Halestorm and Hinder. Marie Purcell’s heavy vocals blend seamlessly with Phil Griffiths guitar, Leanne Wagstaff’s bass and Tone Chambers drums. Influenced by Alice In Chains, TOOL and The Prodigy, they are already rocking the music scene with thunderous singles. The latest release from this exemplary foursome is ‘Rubber Face (Each Time I Lose)’.

Released on the 26th June, 2020, ‘Rubber Face (Each Time I Lose) is an upbeat, energetic and truly dynamic piece of art. Leaning toward a punk sound, the track is a mixture of in-your-face lyrics and batten-down-the-hatches melodies. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Alejandro Padilla, ‘Rubber Face’ is addictive and anthemic. Once the world goes back to live gigs, I can honestly say stadium audiences will be screaming this song.

“They know how to rock. If they release an album, in any format, I would buy it now!” – New Music Saturday on Vaccine7
