Alchemize – In Two Minds (2024)
Fresh from signing with Year Of The Rat Records, Alchemize has proven again they’re here to stay with their new single ‘In Two Minds’. Not losing any moment since their last single ‘Bad Motives’, this Manchester quintet have well and truly cemented themselves in the UK metal scene.
‘In Two Minds’ is a great example of metalcore, with all the fury and melody I love about the genre. I would recommend this track to any fans of Bring Me The Horizon or Bad Omens. It has everything with clear electro vibes which blend perfectly with the overarching heavy feel of the track. The trio of vocalists hold the track together fantastically, keeping it fresh throughout. Musically, not much else can be said other than it’s just a skilful performance from talented musicians. For me, this is the perfect example of a solid piece of music from start to finish, from a band I’ve yet to see miss the mark with the art they are putting out to the world.
Ending the year strongly supporting Polar in Liverpool and Manchester, being played on Fresh Blood over at Kerrang Radio, as well as across a multitude of other stations including BBC Radio 1, Dreambound, RTE2XM and Amazing Radio. 2024 has been just the tip of the iceberg in my opinion and I am putting them as one of my bands to watch next year and will be keeping my eye for them heading my way.
I’d like to close by looking back at a quote from my review of their last single ‘Bad Motives’ – ”Thanks to bands like Alchemize, the British metal scene is really exciting at the minute.”. ‘In Two Minds’ has done nothing but ratify my opinion further. British metal is on an upward trajectory and long may it continue!
