Amanda Brecker – Saturday Vibes (2024)

With renowned artists Eliane Elias and Randy Brecker as her parents, a natural talent for music is engrained in Amanda Brecker’s genes. From her days listening to her parents to the critically acclaimed solo releases, singer-songwriter Brecker fuels a fiery passion for music… and there’s no sign the fire will fade anytime soon. Her confident presence, moving melodies and poetic lyricism have enchanted listeners across the globe reaching far beyond her US borders. From Germany to Japan, the UK, France and her native USA, Brecker is that musician whose song sticks in your head and constantly has you returning for more. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Saturday Vibes’.

Inspired by life and love in all their glory, Amanda Brecker delved into the sublime bliss of pure love in her single ‘Man Of My Dreams’, while ‘Wrong Again’ dragged us into the tragedy of lost love; in ‘Saturday Vibes’, she takes us on a journey to just enjoy life in the moment. When speaking about ‘Saturday Vibes’, she explains:

“The whole idea is to have a good time… I want us to take a day off, sleep in late, give ourselves a little self-love, turn off for a while, disconnect from our phones, and just enjoy the rest of what summer brings.”

Following her well-received 2023 album Dreams, ‘Saturday Vibes’ is Brecker’s saunter into 2024. Recorded and produced with Daniel Jakubovic, the new single dabs into different genres from commercial, bubble-gum sweet pop to vintage indie-rock. Interestingly, while there is a nostalgic glean of 90s/early 2000s pop, ‘Saturday Vibes’ has a strong contemporary indie-pop tone made for modern-day audiences.

Brecker’s music is immersive and ‘Saturday Vibes’ is filled with a vivid expression of relaxation, calm and being entirely at ease. The soothing instruments carry Brecker’s soft vocals; however, a hard-hitting fleck of rock guitars adds a spark to the wistful combination. Whimsical and floating, ‘Saturday Vibes’ is the perfect song to hear when you’re chilling on the beach… then again, there is a feistiness lurking in the chilled-out tune making it perfect for the summer night spent dancing around a campfire with a broad grin on your face.
