Amy Jaime – Into You (2023)

Embracing her passion for music at a young age, singer-songwriter Amy Jaime began singing at the age of 9 – since then, she has known she is destined for greater things. Described as a “superhero…” (Buzz Music), Jaime has pursued numerous paths including sports, films, photography and owning her own clothing brand. However, music remains her one true love and she is turning heads with her engaging melodies. Featured on Illustrate Magazine, Find No Enemy, Less Than 1000 Followers, and various playlists, Jaime is reaching audiences on a global scale. The latest addition to her discography is the single ‘Into You’.

Following her well-received track ‘Secret’, Jaime leans toward a more RnB-influenced sound with ‘Into You’. Laidback guitars meld harmonically with the hazy synths swiftly flying through the intriguing melody – like a breeze just nipping at your ankles. Retaining a commercial pop sound, although excluding the electronic tones of ‘Secret’, ‘Into You’ can be placed on any Billboard chart alongside Lily Allen. Yet, the obscurity and richness of Jaime’s vocals bring an Amy Winehouse meets Jennifer Hudson sexiness to the new single.

As with ‘Secret’, Amy Jaime approaches intimate topics connecting with audiences on another level. The thing is, ‘Into You’ has a bit of a cringe-worthy streak telling an awkward tale of alcohol-induced impulse. Jamie explains that this song “is about someone getting way too intoxicated and telling their special someone that they barely know of their entire life and feelings.” I don’t know about you but I’ve at least come close to that situation and man, it makes your stomach drop when you think about it the next day.

Sincere, sentimental, and sensitive but with a brash honesty woven into the sappy melody, Amy Jaime shares ‘Into You’ – an intoxicating single about intoxication.
