John Heinrich – Leap Into The Storm Of Time (2022)

Described by industry professional Steve Popavitch (the guy who signed Michael Jackson to his first solo contract) as “a very musically able person utilising melody, energy and rhythm to project his instrumental prowess’, John Heinrich is a natural talent when it comes to music. While performing with various bands, Heinrich chose to embrace a solo project. Inspired by the likes of Luther Vandross and The Beatles to Pink Floyd and Pete Drake, the US-based multi-instrumentalist has a unique and eclectic sound. The latest addition to his discography is the single ‘Leap Into The Storm Of Time’.

Taken from his album 3 Faces, ‘Leap Into The Storm Of Time’ is a bit of a genre-defying song. It can lie in the rock category, but a tinge of folk-rock can be heard in the sonic alternative rock meets classic rock tapestry. Interestingly enough, while a pull to the 70s and 80s can be heard, the warm vocals bring the track back to 2022. Youthful, rich and tender, Heinrich’s bold tones add a powerful attitude to the song. Of course, we cannot forget the instrumental arrangement. Melodic and well-textured, Heinrich shows off his musical prowess with dynamic drums and full-bodied guitars.

Just as the melody wraps around you in a comfortable embrace, the poetic lyrics match this warm sensation. Heinrich explains that “this is a song using imagery of things past that come together to have a positive theme for life.” Empowering, optimistic and reflective, ‘Leap Into The Storm Of Time’ aims to make people happier – and it definitely does.
