The expectations parents have for their children and the path of self-growth the child faces are often not the same. This misalignment forms the basis of AI’s single ‘Parallel Lines’ which considers expectations and the realities we face. Drawing on personal experiences, the single taps into all too relatable emotions and struggles that many of us face.
Continuing the exploration of the human condition, this single adds a touch of rock to the synth-pop duo’s usual sound. Bobby Cheatham and Liz Feezor form the listening experience of the band. They joined forces in 2019 to consider the effects of technology on our lives and pay homage to the wide spectrum of human emotions. Blending electronic tones with ethereal vocals, they transport you to another plane of existence for the contemplations of their music.

They talk to the main character, Miss Understood, who is diverting from the expectations of the world. Through the story, you get a peek at what has happened and a wash of understanding.
