Sol Arctica – Dancing Here Always (2022)
With their single ‘Dancing Here Always’, Sol Arctica is bringing a vintage feeling to the production and composition of their sound. Using a blend of pop and neo-soul, they send you spinning into a love story that doesn’t turn out exactly as you hoped for. Drawing on real lived experience, there is an authenticity to the single that bolsters the blend of retro, new age and modern tones.
To bring this mix of sound, Chris Lugton (guitars, synths, drum, bass) enlisted the help of Caterina Branca (vocals) and Shaun Fogarty (saxophone). Together, they carefully crafted this single to bring the best elements of their own music to the flow of Sol Arctica. To bring the retro sound, they used 456 Analog Tape and an original vintage Yamaha DX7 for the recording and production.
