Dittomaster – Alone Online (2020)

Dittomaster had us mixed up in nostalgia and good vibes with their single ‘Always’. He is keeping the good vibes alive with ‘Alone Online’ but mixes them with some haunting sounds. His latest synthwave track, it takes you on a unique musical journey full of crunching riffs, sharp synths and an atmospheric vocal performance.

A blending of different genres, the single is a testament to the musical versatility of Michael Wilson. Radiating with haunting tones that lift you up instead of pulling you down, the single will get you hooked to his sound if you weren’t already. If you are looking for more of his unique sound, you have come to the right place.

‘Alone Online’ hits the ground running with airy vocals and engaging synths. No time is wasted introducing you to the haunting and atmospheric vocals. The light tone of the vocals gets your attention but gives way to a more pop style as the song progresses. There are some serious 80s vibes to the vocals that are reminiscent of the height of 80s synth-pop. While the influence is there, the overall flow of the performance is more modern with a hint of dance and funk.

These hints come into their own with the melody that pulses beneath the vocals. The synths have a sharp edge to them on the verses as they stab through the melody and poke you down the song. This is combined with some great riffs that form a backing layer. The fusion of melodic elements is artful and effortless while getting you into the overall vibe of the music.

Dittomaster continues to captivate with good vibes, airy vocals, stabbing synths and 80s influences on ‘Alone Online’. The vocals grab your attention as they create an atmospheric layer over the melody. The different melodic elements of the music weave together to form a solid rope of synthwave awesome.
