Track of the Day: Cats That Bark – O’rileys
Cats That Bark are a punk/rock band from Hull, UK. The band is Dan (vocals and guitar), Gasmask Grimshaw (guitar). Lukasz (drums) and Vel Cro (bass). Their debut single ‘O’rileys’ is out now.
The track starts with what sounds like a group of people talking and shouting, and the music kicks in shortly after. It begins with a steady drumbeat and guitar riffs with a fast, heavy punk rock sound. The vocals and the lyrics are great; he sings about a bar called O’Rileys that plays a lot of hardcore metal music. The chorus is extremely catchy with a great bassline. It sounds like an early 00’s heavy punk/rock sound which a lot of people growing up in that era will remember; it really makes you feel nostalgic.
The track is a fast and fun punk song with loads of nostalgia. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of the punk/rock scene.
