Silver Coast – You Could Have It All (2020)

Formed eight years ago, Silver Coast is a Scottish alternative rock band bridging the pit between alt-rock and pop-punk. Influenced by artists like You Me At Six, Feeder and Neck Deep, these five musicians add a contemporary indie-rock twist to the iconic sound of 90s pop-punk. Already supporting acts such as Sam Fender and Feeder, as well as performing at notable festivals, Silver Coast are accumulating a loyal following and making a name for themselves. After a full-length album and some singles, the quintet release the high-energy track ‘You Could Have It All’.

Promoting the exuberance of youthfulness, and some of the anxious struggles, ‘You Could Have It All’ is upbeat, lively and captivating. The influence of You Me At Six and Feeder are particularly evident in the toe-tapping melody and steady pop-punk vocals. Strong guitar riffs and drumming meld effortlessly with Aaron Murray’s throaty vocals making the track easy to listen to, while still demonstrating the seriousness of the track.

“It’s about being really into someone but they are too afraid to take a chance on anyone again. Trying to convince them that it’s ok to let go and wear their heart on their sleeve because in doing so they could have everything they’ve ever wanted.” – Silver Coast on ‘You Could Have It All’

Dealing with personal relationships and the fear of being too trusting, Silver Coast approach societal problems with a fresh musical flair. Silver Coast might have supported their beloved Feeder in the past, but the sophistication of this track may see the tables being turned. Watch out Feeder!
