‘World Gone Wrong’ has an interesting opening that draws you in with plonking notes and deep synths. The wavering of the synths warps into the flow of the shuffling beats. The melody has a zipping feeling to it, but also has this grounded solid vibe. Later in the song, there is a dip in the melody with just acoustic guitars that adds a little something to it.

The vocals have a light haziness to them as they act as a smooth layer draped over the melody. The harmonisations are light and add just the right echo effect to the performance. The easiness of the vocals draws you into the lyrics which are packed full of positive messages. As you listen to the lyrics, you are filled with a fighting spirit and the sense that you could make a difference.

‘World Gone Wrong’ by 44 is a soft anthem about a polarized world and having the strength to stand up for what is right. Through a combination of lush synths and smooth vocals, you are filled with strength and the power to stand up for those you love.
